Eco-style in design

Essence of style. The main principle of eco-design, no matter in which country or geographical area the house is built, is the combination of interior and exterior. The goal is to erase the boundary between the room and nature, so that the landscape “enters” the interior, the beautiful view from the window becomes the main interior dominant. Various techniques are used for this: diverse panoramic windows, glass walls, open terraces and attics. But, if it is not technologically possible to arrange a floor-to-ceiling window, you can let the garden into the house with the help of decor in the form of branches, stone, wood, stump furniture, solid wood. Various combinations of natural materials are also used for this.

Decoration of walls, floor, ceiling. First of all, it's a tree. Moreover, the principle of wood processing is such as to preserve the natural beauty of the material as much as possible: texture, color, preserve the smell. I must say that this principle also applies to all other natural materials that are often used in eco-design: natural stone, clay, metal, glass, ceramics, brick, concrete. Often, a lot of brick, concrete or clay walls are left untreated with plaster. This eco-style technique allows you to see the beauty of these materials, gives the room a spirit of freedom.

Furniture, textiles. In eco-style, the main thing is not the shape of the object, but its essence, material. Therefore, the shape of the furniture is as simple as possible. For example, it can be a table, or a console, or a shelf made of well-crafted solid wood, it is imperative that the natural pattern is read, the smell remains, and the natural form is emphasized. Eco-style furniture often contains combinations of wood and glass, wood and metal, glass and metal. Linen, burlap, matting, cotton are present in textiles and upholstery. To create a comfortable and beautiful space, it is very important to maintain a balance in the combination of these materials of different qualities.

The color palette consists of natural shades of the materials used: calm pastel shades of wood, unbleached linen, sand, clay, etc. In my opinion, nature is not only in the pastel shades of the gifts of the earth, but also in the rich colors of flowers, the green of the grass, the azure of the sky, the turquoise of the sea wave, the saturation and depth of the stone. Therefore, I take the liberty of bringing juicy, deep accents to the eco-interior.

Landscaping. Landscaping plays a special role in eco-design. A good example of eco-design plant containers are creative planters made of lightweight concrete. In addition to traditional indoor plants in separate flower pots, phyto-panels, phyto-walls, phyto-colons, and stabilized moss are widely used. The latter, by the way, can be attributed to a greater extent to decor than to landscaping, since the stabilization technology is to make it no longer alive, but as natural and hypoallergenic as possible with plastic use in design. From the point of view of videoecology, its use is justified and positive, as it preserves the softness of natural forms and the freshness of greenery.

Decor. Interestingly, the principle of eco-design does not contradict, but rather naturally combines with other areas: minimalism, loft, ethnic style, neoclassicism. Therefore, in addition to the natural forms of branches, stones, ceramics, bright carpets, and metal objects can be used as decor items.

And in conclusion, I would like to add: I am deeply convinced that sometimes rules in design exist to be broken. No one will forbid you to do this, the main thing is that violation of the established order brings additional joy and inspiration!
